Wawa is a Hong Kong poet. She received her Bachelor's from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and her Master's from Universiteit Leiden, Netherlands, both in Philosophy with a specialization in Friedrich Nietzsche. She has been a soprano (trained under Hong Kong soprano Margaret Yim), an indie singer, a lyricist, an art and design magazine editor, a philosophical counselling assistant, and a cowherd in Hong Kong. Some of her work can be found in Cha: An Asian Literary Journal, Guernica Daily, The Margins, Hawai'i Review, Apogee Journal, and the anthologies: Hong Kong 20/20: Reflections on a Borrowed Place and Twin Cities: An anthology of twin cinema from Singapore and Hong Kong. Her collaborative work with artists has been featured in various art exhibits in Hong Kong and Glasgow. She is the author of Pei Pei the Monkey King (Tinfish Press, 2016), and Anna and Anna (Finishing Line Press, forthcoming). She resided in Köln and Pengchau, and is currently farming with her husband on the island of Keawe.
